Working Load Limit (WLL) – The Working Load Limit is the maximum load that should ever be applied to the cable under normal conditions. For string light applications, ensure the total weight of lights and accessories remains well below this limit. Avoid side loading and uneven tension.
Environmental Considerations – Performance may be affected by extreme weather conditions such as high winds, heavy snow, saltwater exposure, or chemical environments. Regular inspection is recommended for outdoor installations.
Installation Notes – Select loop size based on your mounting hardware (hooks, eye bolts, or anchors). Larger loops provide easier attachment and flexibility, while smaller loops offer a cleaner, tighter fit. Always install with proper tension but avoid over-tightening. Use appropriate mounting hardware such as eye bolts, turnbuckles, or anchors to maintain stability and sag control for string lights.
Breaking Strength – Breaking Strength represents the average force at which the cable may fail under controlled testing conditions. This value is not a safe working load and should never be used as a guideline for installation limits.
Design Factor – The design factor is calculated by dividing breaking strength by the working load limit, ensuring a safety margin for real-world applications.
Shock Load Warning – Avoid sudden tension, jerking, or dynamic loads (such as wind gusts causing rapid movement). Shock loads can exceed safe limits and damage the cable or mounting points.
